Certificated Sub Info
Current Sub Compensation: $190 General Education/$200 Special Education, Long Term begins on day 11 @ $200. A loyalty bonus of $500, when a substitute reaches their 100th day of service within a fiscal year.

To submit a Classified Substitute Application
- Step 1 - Submit a completed Classified Substitute Application (via email), to Joceline Gutierrez at joceline.gutierrez@carlsbadusd.net

- Classified Hourly Pay Schedule
- Step 2 - You will be emailed the New Hire Packet after we review your completed application.
* Please note that classified subs only qualify for the Alternative Retirement System - Step 3 - After step 2 is completed, you will be sent for fingerprinting at the district's expense & enrolled in JPA training courses.
- Step 4 - Once we receive your fingerprint results, your application will be moved to the Board for approval.
- Step 5 - After Board approval, a Frontline account will be set up for you, where you can sign up for jobs as a CUSD substitute!
Make sure all documents are signed and dated before submitting, as only completed applications will be processed.
