  • Gay & Lesbian Student Education Network (GLSEN): Founded in 1990, GLSEN is a national organization focused on ensuring safe and affirming schools for LGBTQ+ students.   • TransFamily Support Services: Guides transgender/non-binary youth and their families through the gender transitioning process.  They provide family coaching, assistance with healthcare and insurance issues, help navigating the legal system and support at schools. Kathie Moehlig, Executive Director/Founder: kathie@transfamilysos.org
  • Human Rights Campaign: HRC advocates for LGBTQ equality and educates the public about LGBTQ issues. HRC is the largest national LGBTQ civil rights organization working to achieve LGBTQ equality.
  • Mental Health America of San Diego (MHASD): No matter what your situation is, there is help available. Provides information about how to handle a mental health crisis, trained counselors can help with your specific situation.  MHASSD provides training courses to improve mental health competency and literacy.

  • GSA Clubs: Student-run organizations supported by a teacher advisor.  GSA clubs unite LGBTQ+  and allied youth to build community and organize around issues impacting them in their schools and communities.
