Transitional Kindergarten

TK 2023-2024 INFORMATION

Transitional Kindergarten is a public school program for age-eligible students turning 5 between September 2, 2022, and February 2, 2023. Students who turn 5 by September 1 are eligible for kindergarten. Students who turn 5 after February 2, 2023, will need to wait until the 2023-2024 school year to enroll in kindergarten.

Students are assigned to a TK program based on their school of residence. TK will be offered at the following schools in 2022-2023:

  • Jefferson Elementary School: Serving students from Buena Vista, Calavera Hills, Hope, Jefferson, and Magnolia
  • Poinsettia Elementary School: Serving students from Aviara Oaks, Kelly, Pacific Rim, and Poinsettia

Pre-enrollment for Transitional Kindergarten is now open through the CUSD Website. Families may submit an Open Enrollment/Intradistrict Transfer request to attend the other school.
